Growth Groups

And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.

Hebrews 10:24-25

How can I develop stronger relationships in the church?

Where can I go to grow in my faith and study God’s word?

Who can I turn to in a crisis?

Growth Groups meet in homes during the week to promote Christian discipleship and growth (Matthew 28:19, Ephesians 4:11-16). They are the heart of ministry at SMBC, a place where we come together for fellowship, prayer, and application of God's Word to our lives. They provide our primary forum for "one anothering," meeting one another's needs.

Growth Groups meet through the school year but take breaks over the holidays and for the summer. They meet September through May.

We are offering our traditional Growth Groups, which typically focus on practical application of the Sunday sermon, and in the fall we will offer our “Parenting Group,” a book study/discussion regarding wise and biblical parenting in the Christian home.

Childcare is available Sunday and Wednesday nights.
